Thank you for your interest in the position with Coos County government.  The Coos County Community Development Department in Coquille, Oregon has two job openings in their office.  They are willing to fill both positions at either a Permit Tech I, Planner I or Permit Specialist level, depending on relevant factors, such as experience and qualifications of the selected candidates.  Both positions are full time, open until filled.  Planner 1 handles land use issues under the Zoning and Land Development Ordinances and the County’s Comprehensive Plan.  Permit Specialist assists customers with a variety of building and development permit issues and researches county records for building information.  Permit Tech I provides information related to building permit requirements, does and inspection procedures and assists the public with questions of forms and other building permit documents.

Positions are located in Coquille, Oregon, Monday through Friday, and involve working with the public in an office setting.

Salary range:  $3,709 - $4,315 er month. $44,508 - $51,780 per year.
