Description
Coos Health & Wellness has two openings for Peer Support Specialist on their Mobile Response Team. Mobile Response Team (MRT) members are not required to be in the traditional office setting. Shifts are assigned 48 hours at a time and work often takes place in the community.  MRT clinicians are able to work either from home or office.
This position will involve driving and being available "on-call" during the 48 hour shift, and therefore require living locally.   Positions provide services and crisis support to individuals who share similar life experiences regarding mental health, substance use, treatment and the like.  Peer Support Specialists self-identify as current or former consumer of mental health and/or substance use services and use this experience in their work assisting other individuals in need.  Peer Support Specialists work as equal members of the Mobile Response Team, sharing in the overall team functions, while adding distinct strengths based on their unique experiences.
 

Must be certified and registered as a Peer Support Specialist through the Oregon Health Authority and be willing to use personal experience to assist others in their recovery.  This MRT Peer position pays a yearly salary range of $42,540  - $49,572 with a signing bonus $2,000.  Successful candidate may also qualify for relocation reimbursement.
